Registration

Online registration for DKG '23 is open. Reduced prices for early bookings are offered until 17 July 2023. You can book day passes and full conference passes. Full conference passes are valid for the entire period of the DKG, day passes only for the selected day.

Full conference pass

The full conference pass allows access to all scientific events throughout the entire conference (sessions, lectures, panel sessions as well as events of the Day of Applied Geography (“Tag der Angewandten Geographie”), the Day of School Geography (“Tag der Schulgeographie”) and the Young Congress of Geography (“Junger Kongress für Geographie, JKG”). The ticket includes catering during breaks. It does not include field trips, which can be booked at a later date.

Day pass

The day pass gives access to all scientific events (see conference pass) taking place on the selected date. The ticket includes catering during breaks. It does not include field trips, which can be booked at a later date.

Day pass “Tag der Schulgeographie”

This ticket only gives access to the events within the framework of the Day of School Geography on 22 September 2023. The Day of School Geography is a specifically designed event for educators, consisting of lectures, workshops and receptions.

Additional offers

When registering, you can book the following offers in addition to the congress ticket at extra cost:

• Opening ceremony: An evening event will be held on Wednesday, 20 September 2023, from 7.15 p.m. in the Casino building of Goethe University. The ticket price includes admission and a three-course vegetarian menu (buffet). Drinks are not included.

• Program guide: An online program as well as a PDF version of the DKG meeting program will be available to all attendees free of charge. In addition, a printed program can be ordered until 31 July 2023 and picked up at the conference office. A later purchase of the printed program on site is not possible.

• Field trips: The DKG offers a wide range of different field trips. Booking is possible after the conference programme has been published (from approx. July 2023, announcement to follow).

Payment of fees and confirmation

You can pay your booking via Paypal, credit card or bank transfer. In the case of a bank transfer, you will receive an e-mail with the account details. All participants will receive an e-mail with a link to download the invoice documents after completing their registration. After the congress, a confirmation of participation will also be sent by e-mail.

Venue

All sessions of the DKG '23 will take place in two main buildings on the Westend Campus, which is considered by some to be the most beautiful campus in Germany:

In the so-called Hörsaalzentrum, which is centrally located on the campus, the opening of the congress and the exhibition for publishers, companies and institutions take place. Here, the registration office and various other facilities are also located.

Conference hotel

For participants of the DKG '23 we have negotiated special room rates at the Motel One Frankfurt-Römer. The hotel is located in the city centre and can be reached quickly from the Westend campus via the underground lines U1, U2, U3 and U8.
